Because the world of online advertising has recently become more popular than ever before, many companies are eager to cash in on the opportunities that Internet advertisement has to offer – especially advertising through one’s personal blog on the World Wide Web. This is a practice in advertisement that has become much more commonplace as of late, and as a result, more and more companies need to have blog advertising explained to them so that they can fully take advantage of this growing trend.
While there are many different sites that offer blog advertisement, none really make sure that blog advertising explained is a part of the services that they offer – and as a result many small businesses and companies find it much more beneficial to spend their advertisement budget elsewhere.
However, once the benefits of blog advertising explained are apparent, it will be obvious how your company can benefit – especially a small or home business that is just trying to get started. It is hard to find someone willing to take the time and sit down to have Blog advertising explained to you however, as many professional bloggers are busy writing and making money for themselves, but there are some great methods that you can use to help explain the benefits of online blog advertisement. And that is the purpose of this article; to make sure that you have all the benefits of Blog advertising explained to you, in a manner that you can understand – as well as in a way that you can actually use to your advantage.
In our blog advertising explained article, we will talk about how to create opportunities for paid blog posts. This is where online businesses and companies advertise on blogs, whether it be about their company or a specific product or service that their company offers.
Now I’ll explain how can an advertiser setup an opportunity if you are a registered advertiser at our company, blogadvertisingstore.com.
1. After registration (http://www.blogadvertisingstore.com/register_advertiser.php) you have to login into your account.
2. Click on the “Create Opportunity” tab. Then you have to choose the opportunity type you want: Text and Photo Opportunity or Press release opportunity.
3. Click on “Create an opportunity” link, found bellow the type of opportunity you want.
Note: It is good to know that you can’t finalize the creation of an opportunity if you don’t have some funds in your account.
Note: Sometimes after you complete the payment process via PayPal, you’ll have to wait 2-3 hours in order for us to verify the order. We usually call you. So, don’t panic if you don’t see your account funded right away.
4. The first section is “Opportunity Details”.
Here you’ll have to name and describe your opportunity. You can also setup requirements like:
Minimum words:
Here you can select the minimum number of words a blog post should have.
Post type:
Buzz: If you’d like to get words out about your business, a new feature, etc.
Review: If you’d like Bloggers to try something out, go to a certain section of your site and provide feedback.
Tone:
Positive, Neutral or Negative.
Category:
Be sure to use this tool to your advantage. This helps define the niche you are targeting with your campaign. The more relevant the selected categories are, the more targeted audience will see/read about you. Also, there are SEO benefits.
Expiration date:
Set the expiration date of your opportunity.
Tracking:
If you would like to know how many views each post submitted to your Opportunity receives, you would select ‘Yes’ to this question. That indicates to the Bloggers they must insert an invisible image into their post, allowing us to track views.
5. Disclosure Settings.
Using this section you may choose to include (or not) a disclosure badge in each written blog post. If you choose to include a disclosure badge you can custom design it 100%.
6. Next part is interesting: Targeting & Pricing.
Here’s the place where you’ll setup these variables:
Maximum Postings:
Select the number of reviews. Keep in mind that “One flower does not bring the Spring”. If you select 30 reviews, then you’ll have your product reviewed 30 times. Furthermore, you’ll have 30 permanent backlinks from 30 relevant websites. The more, the better. You got the point.
Offer Amount ($):
How much are you willing to spend/review? Take a look at “Suggested Offer Amount”. Depending by the selected PageRank and Alexa value the tool will suggest different amounts. If you do not opt for segmentation, the minimum offer amount is $5.00. It isn’t mandatory to respect the suggested amount if you opt for segmentation but recommended, because there won’t be bloggers with a PageRank 5 blog who’ll review your website for $5.
Minimum Google Page Rank:
Here you can select the minimum Google PageRank value a blog must have in order to qualify to post a review.
Maximum Alexa Score:
Here you can select the Maximum Alexa Score a blog must have in order to qualify to post a review.
Example:
If I selected Minimum Google Page Rank: 1-2 and Maximum Alexa Score under 399999, the Suggested Offer Amount is $24.00.
If I selected Minimum Google Page Rank: 0 and Maximum Alexa Score under 1 million, the Suggested Offer Amount is $7.00.
Blog exclusions:
You can exclude different blog networks if you want: myspace.com, blogspot.com and so on.
General Categories:
If you want, you can select the most appropriate category, relevant to your niche. If you select a single sub-category, then you would increase the expiration time (step 4).
Example: If you sell computers, you’ll choose “Computers/Software”. It isn’t mandatory to select only one or only a specific category.
General Area:
Geographic location of the blogger. This is important when advertising products or services in a specific country. Eg: Real estate in Italy.
7. Linking.
If you do require a link (or more, up to three) you have these options available:
Type of the link:
Direct – The classic backlink type. Best for SEO purposes.
Tracking – A tracking link is a redirected link that allows us to track for you how many clicks your URL received from each submitted post. This second option will not improve your SEO. You can check referral stats in your Awstats (or other stats tool), so i wouldn’t recommend using these type of links. Your choice, anyway.
No Follow
Yes – The nofollow attribute will be applied.
No – Regular, dofollow links. Best for SEO purposes.
Provide destination URL
Type in your website’s or company’s URL.
Provide text for the link
Setup the anchor text of the link.
Note: You can choose to add a new link. This new link can have a different anchor text, a different URL and so on. If you want to promote TWO websites, you can do it using the “Add new link” feature. You can add up to three links.
8. Images
If you require images in your reviews you can upload them here. You can require a single photo on each blog post. You may upload up to three photos for the bloggers to choose from. All images maximum 800×600 pixels, JPG format. To fit into a blog post’s design, bloggers may crop it, so a 200×200 pixels image would be the best.
9. Further advertising
If you want your opportunity to be highlighted or heavily advertised via our network, here’s the place. You can choose bold titles, promo ads and other options. If you upload a 75×75 pixels image 9last option) your opp will be featured on PayinPost’s homepage.
You have noticed that at the very top of the opportunity creation page, you have the “Opportunity Summary” table.
You can see there the resume of your opportunity. The values are updated as you go through the opportunity creation process, that’s why I advise you to analyze it BEFORE hitting the ‘Submit’ button. Take a look at the image bellow:
So, what I’ve done?
- I want 35 reviews (selected from Targeting & Pricing -> Maximum Postings)
- My offer per post is: 12 (I applied a segmentation: Minimum pagerank: 1-2, Maximum Alexa: 799000). The suggested price was $12, it seemed a fair price.
- The “Post Cost” is $420. (12 x 35)
- blogadvertisingstore’s service fee is $87 (20% of the post cost) + $3 the opportunity creation fee).
- I wanted my opportunity to have bolded title, (selected at step 9), so a fee of $1 applied.
- Total cost: $508.
My account’s balance is $873.55, so it’s fine, the Total cost will be deducted from my account’s funds.
Note: Our 20% fee is the lowest you’ll find. All competitors apply a 30-35% fee.
Then hit the ‘Submit’ button. We’ll approve your opportunity in a few hours, then your opportunity enters the marketplace where bloggers who meets the requirements you just set, will be able to reserve your opportunity and write the reviews.
All posts are double reviewed by us before approval. We check all posts to verify if it’s unique content, grammar and so on.
Once we approve blogger’s reviews, you can see them by clicking on ‘Manage Opportunities’, Your Opp’s title, bottom of page.
Once the benefits of blog advertising explained are apparent, it’s hard not to be interested. Doubtless this trend has already caught on, and it is one that will stick around for years to come, and hopefully after reading through this article you have the benefits of Blog advertising explained to you completely, and in a way that you can understand.
