Using blog advertising and tips to make blog advertising successful

Since the internet has become such a hot commodity it has been changing anything and everything that comes into contact with the internet. That has changed the way that many people do their advertising. One of the main ways that people rely on when looking to start advertising is to use blog advertising. Creating a blog is simple to do and just about anyone can do this. If you want to start a advertising blog then you want to use this blog just for the sole purpose of advertising your products or services. This blog should be updated frequently to allow for updates to be made with regard to any specials that you might be offering on the services that you are selling or you want to make sure that you update the blog so that it reflects what products are on sale. This is one way that blog advertising is a good thing to do.

The ad relationship has the better odds of being clicked on when you create a blog about the specials that you are offering. By creating a blog about the exact specials that you are running at that moment you are allowing someone who is visiting the website to see that you keep your content up to date and has a better effect of showing them that you are responsible for your merchandise or for the services that you are selling to someone. They can see what kind of information that you have pertaining to the products and services and can gather more information this way and make a better decision on what they are looking to purchase.

One of the best reasons for using blog advertising is to allow for the visitors who are looking to read about the product or service to gather the most information that they can about the specific items or services before purchasing the items. This makes purchasing a item that you might want easier to decide on whether you will like it or not. Make sure that when you are using blog advertising that you list the good and the bad about the product or service that you have. Listing the good and the bad in the blog advertising that you are using allows for someone to see that you are up front and honest about the whole product or service. People who want to know about the items that they are purchasing want to know more than just the positive on the items that they are purchasing. The bad items can be just as important as the good items and can make or break the deal that you are trying to sell.

When you are setting up a blog you want to make sure that the ads that you are placing on your blogs when using blog advertising is to make sure that your ads are in the right locations on your blog. It has been proven that blogs that are used for blog advertising has better results with ads placed in certain locations on the blog. Make sure that the layout of your blog coincides with what you are offering to the person who is visiting your website.

Make your ads that you are using on your blog advertising pages look like they blend in with the rest of the blog that you have. You do not want to have the blog advertising ads look like they are ads. Make them look like they appear as if they belong with the rest of the content that you have on your blog. These tips have proven to make more money for the people who using them than if they just placed the ads anywhere on the page. If you follow the blog advertising tips that many of the webmasters have chosen to display to help people out who are looking to start a advertising blog to promote their services. Look at these tips and try to implement them into what you are using to advertise.

Blog advertising if done right can be very beneficial to someone who is looking to start making money with an online business. Make sure that you have everything in order prior to blog advertising. You do not want to have someone contact you in regards to something that you are selling if you are not ready to begin selling or offering your business. These are some of the most helpful tips that you can get when it comes to blog advertising.

Paid to blog is something that a lot of people want to do because it allows for you to be in your own home and allows for you to spend as much time as you can with your family. No matter what the amount of money that you are looking to make, the paid to blog websites are in need of people who are looking to get into this profession.

There is a large amount of different websites who are looking for people to get into the blog profession. When you are looking for the number of websites that allow for paid to blog visitors you want to make sure that the website is going to pay you adequately for your time for each of the posts that you are going to be doing. You do not want to work for a paid to blog company that will only pay you a small couple of cents for each post as this will take a large amount of posts to be able to make you some money.

This is not something that you will be inclined to promote or to continue doing. Most paid to blog websites are going to pay you for each word that you are writing. Typically they will want someone who can write a couple hundred words or a few cents each word which means that you can earn a good living with the right amount of blog posts to each day that you are writing.

When you are looking to get paid to blog there is some things that you want to keep an open mind about. Some of the websites that you are going to be reviewing or writing about is going to be a adult content type of article or post. You will want to make sure that when you are getting paid to blog, you are comfortable in the writing of the blogs that you are getting paid to write for. You always have the option to decline a blog post if you are not comfortable in what you are going to be writing about. If you are uncomfortable then you are not going to have anything good to say about what you are being paid to blog about. The more you blog the more you get used to the way that you should write. At first you might not have a lot of offers on your paid to blog website that you have joined. Get used to blogging and blog more often and you can make more money than what you could sitting behind a desk for 8 hours a day.

Paid to blog websites are going to want to know what blog websites you are using. The reason why they want to know what kind of website that you are using for your paid to blog website is so that they know what they can expect to see on your blog. Most of the free websites that offer blogs do not allow for people to post specific types of listings to be on their blogs. That means that some jobs will not be able to be performed on specific websites.

You will want to make sure that your blog meets all criteria from the paid to blog websites and this then allows for you to get paid faster from the companies who are using the paid to blog websites. If you create a blog that is not going to meet the criteria then you are going to be asked to revise the posting and will have to keep revising until the post that you have created is accepted from the companies who are paying you. Always keep in mind that you want to make sure that you are paid for your time and paid on time. If not then you will want to move onto another company who is paying you to paid to blog.

In some cases men and women are using their blogs as a sort of full time job. One thing that people are doing this is through Adsense and the use of great advertisement, however, some people are doing this by providing advertisement to thousands of clients each day. It's being done so much that now sites have been built in order that this process can be made much easier.

For example, lets say company X wants an informative advertisement about product Y, the company would then do a check to see how popular Z's blog is and would then ask Z to create that advertisement based on what they need. It's pretty effective if one has the right blog. But even still, in general cases companies have troubles deciding on where to pay and how much to pay for it. That's where blog advertisement rates comes in. A blog advertisement rate is generally defined as, how much money a client will have to pay per word in an advertised blog post. What once was an interesting way to chronicle ones experiences, much like a journal, is in fact now being used to make extra income. In some cases men and women are using their blogs as a sort of full time job. One thing that people are doing this is through Adsense and the use of great advertisement, however, some people are doing this by providing advertisement to thousands of clients each day. It’s being done so much that now sites have been built in order that this process can be made much easier.

For example, lets say company X wants an informative advertisement about product Y, the company would then do a check to see how popular Z’s blog is and would then ask Z to create that advertisement based on what they need. It’s pretty effective if one has the right blog. But even still, in general cases companies have troubles deciding on where to pay and how much to pay for it. That’s where blog advertisement rates comes in. A blog advertisement rate is generally defined as, how much money a client will have to pay per word in an advertised blog post. However, it can also be how much the blogger has already defined the price will be before hand based on how long the post is.

Getting into the subject of how much to pay for blog space can get complicated. The truth is that there is no defined price range as far as blogs go on the Internet. But lets consider a few things before hand. If one blogger charges $500 a month for a banner post above the blogs title or description, and another charges $1,000 for the same post, then it would only make sense that the buyer would go to the $500 posting option.

Another piece of information that a company or general buyer will look for is how much traffic a blogger is getting to their blog. Traffic is the amount of visitors to a web address, or hits that a web site receives. After this has been “okay-d” the next step is how much they will pay. A buyer may refuse a bloggers services if the blog doesn’t get enough traffic.

Other things that are considered when dictating price is the space and size of the post. Much like a billboard, an advertisement has to, advertise. It’s what’s most important, right? Right! The fact is that a company will ask about size and placement. This just means that a company may say, “we need an ad that is 468×60 and it must blend with your content.” Well, you would obviously then be paid more for this because it’s larger then standard size and it seems to be a topic that is being clearly discussed. But sizes can vary, which is good if your the advertiser because it can mean great income possibilities.

The three sizes most commonly used are 468×60 – which is a standard banner (horizontal), 120×600 – which is also a banner (vertical), and 125×125 – which is a standard square advertisement. Even still, while size of an ad can easily dictate price, it wouldn’t be very good for the company to know that their ad is not being effectively placed. If the ad is in a location on the blog that is difficult to view the company won’t be very happy and you will(not could, not can) lose money. The best places for an ad to be place is at the header, it’s higher up, thus more people will be able to view it.

The standard locations for an ad to be place are the header – which I’ve just discussed, the side bar – which is generally where a vertical ad would be place, and the footer – or the bottom of the post. Also note that another good place to place an ad would be in the content. Some call it blending, as it blends with the content.

There are many factors that dictate blog advertising rates. In general they’re not to complicated. It’s really a simple matter of really knowing what your costumer wants and then applying that knowledge as best you can to fit your blog. Remember, while a customer is asking a blogger to perform an action, it’s always the blogger who has the job of being sure that he or she delivers perfect results every time.

Have you ever asked yourself why I have bought this item? The answer usually is because I saw it on television and I knew that I had to go out and buy it. Billions of dollars in revenue are made from advertisements that are aired on television. If you want to market your product then you will need to run advertisements on television and on the Internet in order to make your product known to the masses.

In today’s tough economic times many people are opting to stay home and watch television than go out and go out to dinner or see a movie. There are so many channels to choose from but wherever you go the commercials are sure to follow you.

People spend days working on advertising campaigns in order to get into the minds of consumers. They want to know how they can market their products to make them enticing to you so that you will buy them even if you do not need them or cannot afford them.

Some of the best advertising slogans are still well known today, some of them include: I am coo-coo for Cocoa Puffs, diamonds are forever, reach out and touch someone, it’s everywhere you want to be, and the real thing. These slogans are immediately recognized by people all across the world and this name recognition is very beneficial to companies.

The people who pitch these products to you need to relate to you so that they can be on your level and market consumer products to you. For instance, seeing products used on television makes the at home viewer feel more secure about buying the product. You do not want to spend money on a product that does not work or does not satisfy a need that you have.

We all know how tough it is to see fast food on television and not become hungry for a big juicy burger or a slice of pizza. Seeing something on television is a big factor in why people buy things. If items are visually appealing then they will be more inclined to be remembered by your five senses.

The next time that you flip on your television you should look at all of the different advertisements that appear during your favorite shows. You will see the advertising genius at work. Even if you think you are not impacted by advertising you are; in many aspects of your life whether you want to admit it or not. Where would we be without advertising? Hopefully, we will never have to find out.

Would you be interested in a form of advertising that greatly increases your business exposure and virtually explodes your sales and profits? What if i told you that this form of advertising requires little or no costs to implement? Advertising is an important feature of any business because the more people that are aware of the existence of a business, its products or services the larger the possible market is.

There are a number of effective free online advertising methods such as search engine optimization techniques, link exchanges and the use of social networks among others. Another very effective free online advertising method is known as viral marketing. You probably may have heard about it before but know little about it or about its efficacy. It is used by online marketers big and small and with a little creativity can be adapted to fit any form of online business. All you have to do is give out a free product or service and encourage others to give them out too. For example instead of just selling an e-book you can just give it out for free and give people the rights to also give your e-book out.

The e-book should be very informative and related to your product niche. People should actually benefit from it as this would also move them to distribute it and it gives you credibility as an authority in that niche. Be sure to put your website link in all pages of the book and watch as your website exposure increases as the book spreads. If the information in the book was detailed and informative enough you can be sure that lots of people will follow on the link to check out your website. The fact that you already gave them worthy information for free will make it easier for them to pay you for further product or services.

There are various options on how to get and spread your e-book. You could pay a writer to write one for you, you can buy one with re-branding rights and add your links or you can get one for free. To get a free quality e-book simply visit www.altavista.digital.com and search using the following keyword search terms,“free reports”, “public domain”, “duplication license”, “reprint rights”, and “unlimited duplication”. Then you need to select one related to your product or business. Be sure to use the quotation marks when making searches on this site. From here you can get a handful of useful reports and e-books to distribute free just make sure that you add a link to your website to the book.

You can give you books free on your website, on forums, social networks and can even offer them to other webmasters to distribute free of charge. The more the books spreads the more your website and credibility spreads and grows.

Have you ever considered starting a blog to make extra money? The blogging world is full of money making opportunities, such as advertising. You can put ads up on the home page or even inside the blog post as well. Sponsored reviews is one of the most popular ways for bloggers to make money. However, the experience can become very frustrating if you do it incorrectly.

First of all, all bloggers know that one of the most important things to have for your blog to be successful at sponsored reviews is page rank. Google is the origin of this page rank. Bloggers do several things to try to achieve a high page rank for their blog. Link exchange is a common way to do this, because page rank is entirely based on the amount, and quality of links coming in to your web site. The problem is that many bloggers go crazy spamming other bloggers web sites requesting link exchange, and end up with many unrelated, low quality links. This can end up hurting them, instead of helping them.

Once bloggers achieve the long awaited page rank, advertisers line up to get their products, or websites reviewed by the blogger. This is where it gets interesting. Bloggers go to web sites that connect bloggers, and advertisers, and submit their blogs for acceptance. One they get approved, they either get contacted by the advertisers, or they can simply sort through the opportunities and choose one to write about. They will get paid for each sponsored review they write. Usually, the sites only allow you to have two or three paid reviews on your blog each day. They also require that your blog have other content besides the paid reviews.

These are great rules, and they would normally work. But, I have seen bloggers that have nothing but paid reviews with very little other content which consists mainly of a few paragraphs about what they had for lunch. This makes it very obvious to anyone that visits your blog, that you are in it just for the money. Advertisers don’t mind so much, because all they want is the back link to their website, which will help them rank higher in the search engines, which is why they want to advertise on blogs with page rank.

So, it works out fine, for the blogger and the advertiser. That is, until Google steps in. Google reviews it page rank receivers every three months. Google has been known to remove page rank from those blogs that participate in sponsored reviews. If they find out that you are selling links from your blog, they will remove your page rank completely, thus removing your earning power, or at least most of it.

So, for a blogger, losing page rank can be detrimental. That’s why, if you are blogging for cash, try not to be so greedy. If you do just a few sponsored reviews from your blog, and have related quality content that isn’t paid, you are more likely to have success with the experience. If you want to earn more money, you might want to try and get several blogs, and you’ll be able to do more posts. But, don’t get more blogs than you’ll be able to provide content for. Because, the most important rule of blogging is to keep it interesting.

Is a sponsored review’s content dictated by whoever signs the check? Sponsored reviews, i.e. reviews of products or services paid for by the manufacturer or service provider, are increasingly part of the blogosphere. But are they just internet commercials? Less conspicuous spam?

A Matter of Technique

Ultimately, spam is only spam if it is unwanted. A review is only a commercial if it is frivolous hype. A review that conveys useful (honest) information is welcome. The problem with sponsored reviews is often not of charlatanism, but of bad technique. In writing the review, the blogger loses sight of the effectiveness of actually reviewing the product, but instead panders to what he/she believes will please the client — a review of a toaster becomes a devotional, not a testimonial of how well it handles bagels.

Overuse of SEO

Of the more commonly used techniques, overuse of search engine optimization is probably the most common, and frustrating. A prospective consumer trying to find out about a product winds up trapped in multiple web pages of identical phrases. After being guided to the same few sites again and again, he or she begins to wonder if there are any credible sources at all.

If the Shoe Doesn’t Fit, Don’t Lie about It

Bloggers writing sponsored reviews naturally want to please their clients. But their clients know their products well. Their clients undoubtedly devoted extensive time and resources in development, test marketing, and identifying the potential customer base or demographic. A good review of a smaller, inexpensive microwave may emphasize the value and small kitchen footprint, but it should not fail to mention that the product is better suited to a single person who needs to cook microwave burritos, than to a family of five trying to thaw three pounds of hamburger in a hurry. Unqualified endorsements are neither a service to the client nor to the reader. They are not simply a matter of dishonesty, but of bad technique.

Disclosure

Bloggers who fail to disclose their relationship with their sponsors sacrifice their number one asset – credibility. Clarity about this relationship sounds counter-intuitive, but uncertainty spawns suspicion. If the reader knows, “He’s getting paid to say nice things,” the writer has put him or herself on an even footing with his audience. The value of the review will be judged on the merits of its information.

More than Caveat Emptor

Credibility is the reviewer’s greatest asset. If a window cleaner’s spray attachment is annoying to use, it should come out in the review. A blogger’s fair and specific criticism enhances his or her credibility, and may not dissuade the product’s potential consumers – perhaps the sprayer doesn’t sound like such an inconvenience to the reader. But just as praise should be meaningful and specific, so should criticism, “Yuck, I hated it” is no more helpful than, “Fabulous! I was so glad I got it!”

Get the Facts Right

If a blogger doesn’t know how to cook, he should stay out of the kitchen. Nothing destroys the veracity of a review faster than factual errors. Bloggers who don’t know about their products, shouldn’t write about them.

Although there are many sophisticated adaptations you can make to customize a blogspot (Google) blog, it’s really easy to get started. You can start your own simple blog in under 30 minutes. It’s completely free; the only thing you need is a valid email.

Step 1- Basic Choices
Go to www.blogspot.com. You will see a page with the big orange B in the left hand corner and an orange button that says “Create a Blog.” Look in the upper right corner, and select the language you will be using for your blog; the blogosphere is truly international.
Note that just below the orange button are links to a number of tutorials. “Quick Tour” explains what a blog is. “Video Tutorial” is a YouTube visual explanation. This is good, but moves quite quickly. “More Features” and “Blogger Buzz” show you advanced options.

You may use any email address you want to create a blog. However, if you already have a gmail address, you can sign in via the boxes in the blue area at the upper right of the screen. If you prefer to use a different email address, this is fine, just skip the “sign in” section and click the orange “Create a Blog” button.

Page 2- Create a Google Account
This page can seem a little confusing because it looks like you are supposed to use a google address. Not so. This is the page where you enter information if you want to use a non-gmail email address.

Enter your email, and re-enter it in the next field. Choose a password of at least 8 characters. A strong password will have upper and lower case letters, numbers and symbols. You also need to enter this twice. Choose a display name.

This is what will show at the bottom of each of your posts. It will say something like “Posted by Johnny Shmo at 3:15 pm.” You may use either your real name or a nickname. You will be asked to copy some letters for verification that you are human. Or alternatively click the wheelchair icon to hear a series of characters over some background babble.

Finally you must check the box to agree to the terms of service. These are fairly standard but should be read,. Notable terms are: you must be 13 or older; Google does not own any rights to the content of your blog, and you do not have any rights to any Google software. Click “continue.”

Page 3- Name Your Blog
The blog title does not need to be unique. Next choose a blog address or URL. This needs to be unique to blogspot. Enter your first choice and click “check availability.” If that name is unavailable similar alternatives will be suggested. Skip the advanced options for now; click “continue.”

Page 4- Choose a Template
Blogger offers 12 basic, 2-column templates. Many more are available from third parties, and any of the basic ones may be customized, but to get started simply pick one of the ones offered. Click “continue.”

Page 5- Your Blog Has Been Created
This is just a success notice. Click “start blogging.”

Page 6- Blog Entry Page
Now you can post your first entry. Type a title for this entry in the title box. There are two choices for entry. If you want to enter your own HTML code click on the HTML tab at the top right of the text entry field. Otherwise, choose the Compose tab. Type something. You may preview it or simply click the orange button “Publish Post.” At the next screen click “View Blog,” You will discover that your first blog entry is posted for the world to see.

Explore the many other options to individualize your blog.

Including images in your blog posts makes them much more vibrant and interesting to readers. Putting them in is fairly easy if you understand the dynamics of HTML code and also know some of the limitations of picture hosting.

Hosting a Picture Online

There are a couple of blogging platforms that will host pictures for their bloggers to use in their posts. This is the simplest way of putting a picture online because the platforms used often incorporate quick image buttons to insert a picture into a text box as well as automatically pulling the picture up from your computer.

In platforms like these all you do is click on the control section of your text box where there is an image ‘icon’ or where it says ‘insert image’ and a pop up box will appear to guide you through the process. You will be asked to browse your computer for the required image and then it will upload that picture and insert it into your post.

Platforms such as ‘Blogger’ do this and it makes inserting an image a very simple procedure.

Using an Existing Image Online

One way many bloggers insert an image is by grabbing the URL of a picture already hosted online by someone else. This is somewhat unethical as you are drawing bandwidth off of the person hosting the picture and you may also be violating a copyright by using an image someone else owns. If you know the person hosting the picture and it is okay with them that you use it, or you are posting for a company and wish to use one of their pictures for your post you can use this method to make inserting an image easier.

Go to the image on their page and right click on it. A box will appear and at the very bottom you will see ‘properties’. Left click on the line that says properties and the properties box for the image will appear. Copy the URL (or address) of the picture.

In your blog post when you click on the quick link for an image insert the copied URL into the space for an existing picture online and when you finish the picture will appear inside your post.

Hosting a Picture Online

If your blogging platform does not allow for uploading pictures, or you are writing an article for placement somewhere else and need to insert a picture you will need to place the image online. There are many free services that allow image hosting but you must be sure that they will allow outside sources to link to them. If you own your own website you can host your pictures on that server and that is the most secure way of ensuring your picture will always be available to you.

Once you have the image loaded onto a free host, or your own website you simply copy the URL of that individual picture and place it in the control box for images on your blog page.

Image Coding

If your blogging platform does not have an automatic image generator you will need to know the code for placing an image inside of text in your articles. Place the cursor in your text box where you want the picture to appear and type:

< img src=”Image URL” />

(a space has been inserted between the initial < and the word img in order to ‘break the code’ and allow it to show up as code. Please remove that space when you type the code yourself.)

Insert the actual image URL between the quote marks where is says Image URL and your picture will appear inside of your blog post.

Links included in blog posts are very important to the blogger, reader, and linkee for different reasons. Putting links in blog posts make them more useful as an information tool for your readers and they give SEO power to the page being linked to. The blogger gets the benefit of reader appreciation and return hits to their blog and, in some cases, payment for the link placed. Learning how to include a link in a blog post is easy.

Using the Controls Included in Text Boxes

Many blogging platforms include a quick link tab or button in the control section of the text box. If that is the case adding a link to your post is as easy as highlighting the word or words you wish to use as the text for the link and then clicking on the tab button usually marked with a chain to indicate a ‘link.’ A pop up box will appear that has a space to insert the URL for the webpage you wish to link to. Type in the URL or if you have it copied you can paste it in, and then hit enter, or okay. The link will automatically be formatted in your post.

Linking an Image Using Controls in Text Box

The same application above can be used to link an image in your text box. After you have placed your image in your post click to highlight it, once again click on the tab button in the control section for links and when the pop up box appears place the URL you wish to link the picture to. When you hit enter, or okay the link will automatically be formatted to the picture in your post so that anyone clicking on the image in your post will be directed to the webpage you choose.

Building a Link from Scratch

If your blogging platform does not include a control section, or have a quick link button you can still add links to your blog posts if you know the – code. Most internet platforms use HTML code to build their pages and inserting any extra coding is simply a matter of knowing the right codes to be recognized by the system. To build a link you still type your line of text as you normally would. I might type a line in here that said:

How to create a link in a blog post.

I would then go back and insert the code around the word or words I chose to be linked. I want to use the word ‘link’ in my text so I will build the code around that word. The linking code looks like this:
< a href=”PUT THE LINK TO YOUR URL HERE”>linked word here< /a>

Code is a very tricky thing and it has to be precise. If you forget a slash, or a quote mark it will not show up. Also note that many word programs automatically ‘link’ and in doing so erase some parts of a code such as the quote marks. So if you use a word program to write your posts and then cut and paste them to a text box you will have to carefully check over your codes to be sure they have not been altered by the program.

This is what the above code would look like in my example text using a false URL just for example (please note that in all code examples a space has been placed after the < sign on both ends of the code to ‘break’ the code and allow it to show up instead of only showing the actual link, remove these two spaces when writing your own code):

How to create a < a href=”http://www.howtobuildalink.com”>link< /a> in a blog post.

Once you have mastered this simple code you will be able to add links to any webpage you create no matter where it will be placed. It is a universal code that works in all HTML based programs.

When writing sponsored reviews, links must be embedded into the text, context and should point to the advertiser’s website. That’s why, don’t forget the http://.
