Blog advertising a superior investment to other marketing strategies

The Advantages of Blog Advertising

Blog advertising has recently emerged as an alternative to traditional marketing strategies and boasts several advantages. Researchers project that internet marketing techniques, including blog advertising, will influence nearly half of all consumer spending in 2010, and the decline of traditional media (such as television, radio, and snail mail) ensures that this trend will only continue. Several factors make blog advertising a sound marketing investment in today’s uncertain economic climate, especially considering that online spending consistently outperforms brick-and-mortar stores. What makes blog advertising so effective?

One advantage is that bloggers attract loyal readers, many of whom subscribe to receive automatic e-mail updates whenever new content appears on their favorite blogs, and consumers often consider blogs devoted to retail products (such as fashion blogs, gaming blogs, music blogs, etc.) more reliable than other internet ads. Blog marketing builds on the relationship between consumers and the bloggers they trust, creates an interactive forum for businesses and consumers to engage one another, and ultimately encourage customer loyalty. Because blogs enable readers to comment on each entry, consumers can offer valuable feedback on specific products and services and come away with the satisfaction of having their voices heard.

Blog marketing is also a more effective means of attracting new customers. In particular, blog marketing takes advantage of the frequency with which consumers use search engines like Google, MSN, and Yahoo to find products they are interested in buying.

Blog Advertising in 2010?

The New Year is just beginning but I am sure that savvy online marketers are already perfecting their marketing campaign to make this year successful. Success calls for early and careful planning and marketers would want to make use of the right tools and medium to reach their target audience. As you cross your Ts and make plans, have you considered blog advertising for 2010?

Blogs became very popular in 2004 and since then smart marketers have been using them as a medium of target advertising. Blog advertising has since increased in popularity but many marketers still do not use it or use it right. You mainly have two broad options regarding blog advertising. You can create and maintain your own blog (with the help of professionals) or you can use the already established blogs of others at a fee.

Why Blog Advertising in 2010

Due to the nature of blogs they offer some advantages when used as an advertising medium. One of the advantages is an increased visibility. Many blogs have a wide readership base and attract thousands of more unique visitors every month. You can expose your product to them. Implementing a blog advertising campaign is relatively cheaper. The cost/benefit ratio is very impressive. Blogs can also be a good source for target traffic.

If you are able to create and build up your own blog the benefits are even more. It is easier to increase the page rank of a blog than a website because of the frequency of posts. Your own blog establishes you as a guru or opinion maker in your field. You build sustainable networks, increase your product’s visibility and enhance your corporate image. It would also boost your customer interaction and increase your indexed content. Blog ads also create quality back links that would help improve your search engine ranking.

Advertising Products

Blogs is a veritable advertising tool because they are popularly run by opinion-makers, niche influencers and people who are considered gurus in certain industries. The blogs of some of these opinion-makers enjoy a loyal and large readership base. These groups of impassioned readers are also savvy smart consumers and they include not just students or semi-literate readers. These days, some blogs are read by the main stream media, white collar jobs workers at work and even government politicos.

However, blog advertising may not suit just any type of advertiser, neither should an advertiser just place advert material on just any blog. Blog advertising in 2010 may not be the best advert option for entrenched old brands as their ads may not be though provoking or interesting enough. Adverts that work well on blogs have to be as rich and edgy just like the content on the blog.

Blog advertising would better suit, new products launches, press releases, newsmakers and medium scale advertisers. Agencies represent only a fraction of blog revenue because they might be skeptical about creating non-conventional advert and offending their executive clientele. The best and most successful blog ads have been conceived and implemented by small scale advertisers, where the person who pays for the ads understands the unique nature of blogs ads.

Designing a Blog advert for 2010

Your blog ad must be human enough. To work well on blogs it must carry a human voice to make it connect well with people. The ads must have a bit of humanity and substance and not just focus on incentives or special offers. Your ad should appeal to the sensibility of the readers. Sarcasm and humor are good and if you could add appealing new hooks it becomes even better. Giving exclusive is a good idea, just like Eminem, who gave out exclusives of a new song on a blog. Readers love exclusives.

Your blog advert in 2010 has to be very creative and rich in content. You could use a headline, followed by an image and some creative text, or an image, followed by some headlines or text. It helps to make the ads look like an extension of the blog content, it should blend in. some blog networks or owners only accept specified ad formats while others may accept ads of all formats.

Since target advertising is always more successful you need to be sure that the blog you create or choose to place advert material on is related to you and your product. You need blogs that are related to your niche. That way you can maximize on click through rate as more of the readers would be more likely to click. Your aim is not to just expose your advert material to the largest random audience possible. Your aim should be to expose your advert material to as large an audience that is interested or are likely to be interested on your product.

To succeed in 2010, you need to start planning and implementing your marketing strategy early. Blog advertising in 2010 can just be the tool you need to reach the desired top.

The Probloggers Guide to Effective Advertisement – effective advertising rates

The use of blogging has changed over the years. What once was an interesting way to chronicle ones experiences, much like a journal, is in fact now being used to make extra income. In some cases men and women are using their blogs as a sort of full time job. One thing that people are doing this is through Adsense and the use of great advertisement, however, some people are doing this by providing advertisement to thousands of clients each day. It’s being done so much that now sites have been built in order that this process can be made much easier.

For example, lets say company X wants an informative advertisement about product Y, the company would then do a check to see how popular Z’s blog is and would then ask Z to create that advertisement based on what they need. It’s pretty effective if one has the right blog. But even still, in general cases companies have troubles deciding on where to pay and how much to pay for it. That’s where blog advertisement rates comes in. A blog advertisement rate is generally defined as, how much money a client will have to pay per word in an advertised blog post. However, it can also be how much the blogger has already defined the price will be before hand based on how long the post is.

Getting into the subject of how much to pay for blog space can get complicated. The truth is that there is no defined price range as far as blogs go on the Internet. But lets consider a few things before hand. If one blogger charges $500 a month for a banner post above the blogs title or description, and another charges $1,000 for the same post, then it would only make sense that the buyer would go to the $500 posting option.

Another piece of information that a company or general buyer will look for is how much traffic a blogger is getting to their blog. Traffic is the amount of visitors to a web address, or hits that a web site receives. After this has been “okay-d” the next step is how much they will pay. A buyer may refuse a bloggers services if the blog doesn’t get enough traffic.

Advertisements on the Brain

Advertising has become a very powerful part of media all across the globe. If you are watching a one hour television program then generally there are at least fifteen minutes of commercials from start to finish.

Have you ever asked yourself why I have bought this item? The answer usually is because I saw it on television and I knew that I had to go out and buy it. Billions of dollars in revenue are made from advertisements that are aired on television. If you want to market your product then you will need to run advertisements on television and on the Internet in order to make your product known to the masses.

In today’s tough economic times many people are opting to stay home and watch television than go out and go out to dinner or see a movie. There are so many channels to choose from but wherever you go the commercials are sure to follow you.

People spend days working on advertising campaigns in order to get into the minds of consumers. They want to know how they can market their products to make them enticing to you so that you will buy them even if you do not need them or cannot afford them.

Some of the best advertising slogans are still well known today, some of them include: I am coo-coo for Cocoa Puffs, diamonds are forever, reach out and touch someone, it’s everywhere you want to be, and the real thing. These slogans are immediately recognized by people all across the world and this name recognition is very beneficial to companies.

The people who pitch these products to you need to relate to you so that they can be on your level and market consumer products to you. For instance, seeing products used on television makes the at home viewer feel more secure about buying the product. You do not want to spend money on a product that does not work or does not satisfy a need that you have.

We all know how tough it is to see fast food on television and not become hungry for a big juicy burger or a slice of pizza. Seeing something on television is a big factor in why people buy things. If items are visually appealing then they will be more inclined to be remembered by your five senses.

The next time that you flip on your television you should look at all of the different advertisements that appear during your favorite shows. You will see the advertising genius at work. Even if you think you are not impacted by advertising you are; in many aspects of your life whether you want to admit it or not. Where would we be without advertising? Hopefully, we will never have to find out.

Using Viral Marketing as A Free Advertising Tool to Explode Your Profits

Would you be interested in a form of advertising that greatly increases your business exposure and virtually explodes your sales and profits? What if i told you that this form of advertising requires little or no costs to implement? Advertising is an important feature of any business because the more people that are aware of the existence of a business, its products or services the larger the possible market is.

There are a number of effective free online advertising methods such as search engine optimization techniques, link exchanges and the use of social networks among others. Another very effective free online advertising method is known as viral marketing. You probably may have heard about it before but know little about it or about its efficacy. It is used by online marketers big and small and with a little creativity can be adapted to fit any form of online business. All you have to do is give out a free product or service and encourage others to give them out too. For example instead of just selling an e-book you can just give it out for free and give people the rights to also give your e-book out.

The e-book should be very informative and related to your product niche. People should actually benefit from it as this would also move them to distribute it and it gives you credibility as an authority in that niche. Be sure to put your website link in all pages of the book and watch as your website exposure increases as the book spreads. If the information in the book was detailed and informative enough you can be sure that lots of people will follow on the link to check out your website. The fact that you already gave them worthy information for free will make it easier for them to pay you for further product or services.

There are various options on how to get and spread your e-book. You could pay a writer to write one for you, you can buy one with re-branding rights and add your links or you can get one for free. To get a free quality e-book simply visit www.altavista.digital.com and search using the following keyword search terms,“free reports”, “public domain”, “duplication license”, “reprint rights”, and “unlimited duplication”. Then you need to select one related to your product or business. Be sure to use the quotation marks when making searches on this site. From here you can get a handful of useful reports and e-books to distribute free just make sure that you add a link to your website to the book.

You can give you books free on your website, on forums, social networks and can even offer them to other webmasters to distribute free of charge. The more the books spreads the more your website and credibility spreads and grows.

Sponsored Blogging Not As Easy As It Seems

Have you ever considered starting a blog to make extra money? The blogging world is full of money making opportunities, such as advertising. You can put ads up on the home page or even inside the blog post as well. Sponsored reviews is one of the most popular ways for bloggers to make money. However, the experience can become very frustrating if you do it incorrectly.

First of all, all bloggers know that one of the most important things to have for your blog to be successful at sponsored reviews is page rank. Google is the origin of this page rank. Bloggers do several things to try to achieve a high page rank for their blog. Link exchange is a common way to do this, because page rank is entirely based on the amount, and quality of links coming in to your web site. The problem is that many bloggers go crazy spamming other bloggers web sites requesting link exchange, and end up with many unrelated, low quality links. This can end up hurting them, instead of helping them.

Paid Shill or Marketer? Bloggers who Write Sponsored Reviews

Tue, Jul 14, 2009

Is a sponsored review’s content dictated by whoever signs the check? Sponsored reviews, i.e. reviews of products or services paid for by the manufacturer or service provider, are increasingly part of the blogosphere. But are they just internet commercials? Less conspicuous spam?

A Matter of Technique

Ultimately, spam is only spam if it is unwanted. A review is only a commercial if it is frivolous hype. A review that conveys useful (honest) information is welcome. The problem with sponsored reviews is often not of charlatanism, but of bad technique. In writing the review, the blogger loses sight of the effectiveness of actually reviewing the product, but instead panders to what he/she believes will please the client — a review of a toaster becomes a devotional, not a testimonial of how well it handles bagels.

Overuse of SEO

Of the more commonly used techniques, overuse of search engine optimization is probably the most common, and frustrating. A prospective consumer trying to find out about a product winds up trapped in multiple web pages of identical phrases. After being guided to the same few sites again and again, he or she begins to wonder if there are any credible sources at all.

How to Make a Page Load Faster in a Browser

If you’re making a web page and want to get the maximum performance rate possible, you will want the page to load as quickly as possible in the browser. This can be done without making major changes to the appearance of the over-all function of the page.

You can achieve this by simply reducing the amount of bytes that a client or viewer has to download. You can use something called Page Speed featured by Firefox.

Page Speed is an extension that looks at web pages and gives ideas on how to improve them for greater performance and speed.

There is another tool called YSlow which can also give excellent ideas on how to improve your page so that it loads faster in a browser.

You can find both of these tools on the internet. You can also get the page to load faster in the browser by compressing your images.

Extra information is embedded in files, most of the time including the name of the program who wrote them. Some images such as PNG files can be reduced by simply changing the way the image in encoded. These changes do nothing to change the look of the page, and the compressed image is an identical twin to the uncompressed image without as many bytes.
